Salt Lake pitcher Kevin McDonald threw the first Trapper one-hitter in years Saturday night, striking out a career-high 13 Great Falls Dodgers on the way to a 5-0 victory at Legion Park. That broke a two-game Trapper losing streak. The win, coupled with a 9-5 loss to Billings by Idaho Falls, left the 33-17 Trappers a game ahead in first place in the Pioneer League Southern Division.McDonald increased his record to 5-1 and struck out at least one Dodger in every inning and struck out the side in the third inning. The only hit against him was a bloop single in the seventh. He walked two. McDonald has now struck out 23 in his last two games.
